Our Summer Club Championships is an individual competition where the children compete to show their skills, flexibility, strength and co-ordination through a bench routine and a vault run. The event has a march on, audience participation, judges, a raffle and a presentation as well as gymnastics display. The children will be given lots of help and encouragement. Every child will receive a participation medal and there will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd placings medals. Age Groups & Categories Age Groups are individual school years; Year 1 to Year 13. Categories 1) Recreational and Tumble Recreational Gymnasts 2) TeamGym Level 5 and 6 4) TeamGym Level 4 Fees & Entry Terms; Competition £15 per child non refundable. Spectators fee £3 per adult on the door (cash or card) Children free. All proceeds will go towards new equipment and coach education. Closing Date Tuesday 19th May (we will not accept any entries after this date). A full timetable will be issued after the closing date. PROVISIONAL timetable (subject to change) 10.00 – 12.00pm Year 1 – Year 3 12.15 – 2.15pm Year 4 – Year 13 Competition Attire Strictly Club colours ONLY. BLUE/ORANGE/BLACK/WHITE. T-shirts (long enough to be tucked in), leggings, shorts, leotards. Long hair to be neatly secured. Club coloured ribbons a bonus. No plastic head bands. No jewellery. Barefoot. Acceptable example; plain white t-shirt and black leggings or shorts. Girls Club turquoise leotards can be purchased for £28.00, Junior navy blue leotards £30. Each bench routine must contain a mount, leap, jump, skill, balance and dismount. Which of each, the gymnast performs, will be decided prior to the competition based on what they would prefer to do and what we think they can perform the most successfully. We have attached a full list of the skills and skill values. TeamGym gymnasts only, will also be demonstrating a trampette run.
