Class sessions are tailored for 8 – 16 year olds developing advanced recreational gymnastics skills. The hour and a half sessions are action packed to improve body conditioning and skill development. The children have the opportunity to learn to somersault and tumble. Skills taught include; handstand forward roll, round off, back bend and walkovers, headsprings, handsprings, flic progressions and somersaults.

From the Junior Gymnastics Tumble class children may progress to compete as a team at TeamGym Recreational Level 6 within the Junior Gymnastics programme.

TeamGym comes under the umbrella of British Gymnastics; Gymnastics for All. It is a discipline that focuses on Team, Friendship, Retention and Competition with relatively low commitment. The TeamGym gymnasts compete in a team of 3 – 5 gymnasts on tumble, trampette and trampette vault.

The children also work towards British Gymnastics Rise Awards and are awarded with a certificate and medal at the end of the term (included in the term fees). We focus on different badge schemes each term.

Autumn Term - Working Together
Spring Term - Core Skills
Summer Term - Apparatus

Each Term the children have the opportunity to compete in a Club Competition relating to their badge scheme.

The Rise certificate and medal is included in the term fees.

All members will need a valid Welsh Gymnastics Membership for £24 annually. This must be set up through their website.
